Grand-Katanga: Baobab RDC, a microfinance company now present in the city of Lubumbashi

The microfinance company Baobab RDC is now present in the city of Lubumbashi, capital of the province of Haut-Katanga. Its inauguration took place this Friday, March 25 in the presence of several local personalities. This company is located in the heart of the city center, at the intersection of Likasi and Kapenda avenues.

On the occasion of the official opening, the general manager placed his word under the label of an experienced micro finance which comes to provide solutions adapted to the needs of the community in Lubumbashi.

“Baobab RDC is a microfinance institution based in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the national headquarters is in Kinshasa, in the commune of Bandalungwa. Before becoming baobab, the microfinance institution operated in the DRC under the name of oxus DRC. In 2017 Baobab operates in Paris. Who then is Baobab group bank? It is a digital banking group specializing in financial granting, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Paris. The main shareholders of baobab group are well known and internationally renowned. It is Axa France and the European investment bank”, said this Friday, at the opening, Mr. Kabeya Kanyonga, general manager of Baobab RDC, this micro finance inaugurated in Lubumbashi.

He also explained to the audience who came for this purpose the services offered by his company to the public of Haut-Katanga.

“Baobab groupe banque does not only have channels in the DRC. We are present in China, Madagascar, Senegal, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, and obviously in the DRC so in Kinshasa, Kikwit and now in Lubumbashi in the province of Haut Katanga . Our services are offered to low-income earners who do not have access to financial service. Our goal is to meet their needs, the needs of their households or their economic and professional activities. We offer our services to individuals, micro-enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises in the province of Haut-Katanga and we have a particular interest that we know. Whatever their size, we want to support them in financing their economic activities. Our offers include investment credit, equity financing and other savings products such as interest-bearing savings account, a savings plan, without a minimum balance whatever the needs, the account is paid and withdrawals are free. There are no withdrawal fees”, continued the general manager of Baobab RDC.

It was Bruno Choma Choma, provincial finance minister of Haut-Katanga, who cut the symbolic ribbon and thus launched the start of activities of this micro-finance company in the provinces. It should also be noted the presence of the provincial director of the Central Bank of Congo in the provinces at this ceremony.
